Welcome to Uppsala!

We are approaching the deadline for sign up, the 9th of November, quickly and we thought we would take the opportunity to tell you about our lovely city, Uppsala.

In Uppsala you’re close to everything. Uppsala has everything a big city offers yet retaining a sense of small-town charm and personality with a picturesque countryside.

So when in Uppsala, do as the Uppsala locals. That's how the old saying goes and it rings more true now than ever. Here you will find a list of tips from different locals living in Uppsala, some of which have lived in Uppsala for more than 60 years. These are some of the things they feel you shouldn't miss when visiting Uppsala. Download the PDF with five from those who know Uppsala best.

Do you want more tips? Download our guide to Uppsalas Must-Do’s a PDF-file. Among our best sights and experiences, you will of course find the 13th century Uppsala Cathedral with Gothic architecture, priceless relics and treasures. Just a short walk from there you visit the 17th century Augsburg Art Cabinet at Museum Gustavianum or Uppsala castle, the location of several major events in the history of Uppsala and Sweden.

Uppsala is not all history though. Don’t miss the futuristic concert and congress venue - a modern, multifunctional 14 600 square meters space characterized by its first-class design and acoustics. From the sixth floor it has a magnificent view over all of Uppsala.

We also have one of the best bar and restaurant scenes in Sweden – we are a university city after all. Find out more about our bar and restaurant scene.

Welcome to Uppsala!
