Swedish national team star Alexander Isak is one.
Ajax Champions League hero Matthijs De Ligt and Romas Justin Kluivert two others.

When it comes to class and quality, this cup stands out by far

You can watch all the matches from the tournament - live at SolidSport.
For the ninth consecutive year, AIK will host Lennart Johansson Academy Trophy this weekend at Skytteholms IP in Solna.
Here some of Europe's largest clubs will bring their best youth teams between the ages of 13 and 14.

Among the invited giants are FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Paris St Germain, PSV Eindhoven, Inter (Milan), Atletico Madrid and Galatasaray.

- If you want to see international youth football at the highest level, then there is no tournament in Sweden that has so many European top clubs that come with their best teams. There are other large and nice cups with other advantages, but when it comes to class and quality, this cup stands out by far, says Leif Karlsson.

Former youth players in AIK have talked about how great the experience Lennart Johansson Academy Trophy really is:
They have told me that the feeling they had before the Friday match against FC Barcelona on Skytteholms IP was the same as before a local derby in the swedish top flight.

Matthijs de Ligt, Dani De Wit, Carel Eiting and Justin Kluivert were here on one occasion with Ajax, and Alexander Isak has of course represented AIK.
From Barcelona, young players with "future-world star"-status - like Pablo Moreno (today in Juventus) and Xavi Simons - have played in Solna in recent years.

How come the big clubs annually make the trip to Solna at the end of May with their greatest talents?

- I spoke to FC Barcelona's experienced youth manager in during a prize ceremony some years ago, and he asked: "Are we welcome back next year?" We simply take care of the invited teams - and accommodation, logistics and quality of the game are of the highest international class, says Leif Karlsson.

- Today we also have an exchange with FC Barcelona when it comes to the respective research department, where we can learn from each other's activities. And a relationship with Barcelona paves the way when other top clubs are invited, it becomes a quality stamp.

What does that mean for the AIK teams on the girls and boys side who now get the opportunity to face this international opposition?

- First, it is experience and an experience that enriches their football education. Only in AIK you get to play these type of matches in Sweden, it is AIK's own tournament. With Lennart's name on the tournament, it is also clear that it is AIK football that is the sender, says Leif Karlsson.
